Technique applied description
Basically, the main of technique is “Taka-makie”. Almost all of them raised the high by mixed charcoal powder and lacquer at first. Every seashell pattern on the top of the wine cup is rendered with different techniques of Urushi Art; for instance, sprinkling fine dust golden or silver powder to cover the all surface of it and polishing to high gloss, which is called “Kinji” or “Ginji”. Some of them are pasted by Kirigane, which is golden sheet, some are seashell. Finally, applying thinner and 3-dimensional line to depict the detail on the top of all patterns, even the background of the wine cup, making it exquisite and finest.
