Technique applied description
The background of inner, sprinkling with Hirame and a sum of golden powder, then polishing by ‘togidashi’, the technique that makes the surface as a mirror. A raised-lacquer-mouse is rendered by takamakie, shape by takamakie, sprinkling powders of alloy and gold in two hues, drawing with the thinner line on the top of it in order to depict detail to finish the end. The external part is used lacquer mixed with color-mineral-powder and charcoal powder.
Design motif
Golden mouse is the symbolic zodiac of 2020; Taiwanese or even Chinese are used to take the symbolic zodiac as the main motif to customize a gift for childbirth. The idea is to represent a lucky sign as a sleeping mouse in a treasure bag and bringing a sum of money and joy to the parent, the pattern of the treasure bag symbolized growing healthy.
